Paragraph on Global Warming

Global warming is a very dangerous phenomenon, and it is crucial that we all take action to tackle it now. Global warming means the warming of the earth’s atmosphere due to the sun’s rays becoming trapped by layers of polluting gases that form in this atmosphere. This is also known as the ‘greenhouse effect’.

As the earth’s atmosphere warms up, its icebergs melt, its sea levels rise and its weather patterns become outrageously disrupted.

It is so important for all of us to do all that we can to combat global warming. Humans create global warming by releasing polluting gases (or ‘greenhouse gases’) into the atmosphere, primarily because of the burning of fossil fuels. Nevertheless, what this also means is that it is in our power to stop global warming as well. From big businesses to individual consumers, it is up to all of us to make better choices for the planet.
