1. Queens Beach

The name is taken from the 540 million old boulders that are around this beach and is a favorite of every family living here. It is also home to around 2000 African penguins and is known as city slickers by the locals as they have taken control of this coast. This is the only beach in the world where you can have a look at the African penguins from a close distance.

The word platboom means flat tree. There are many beaches around platboom but this beach is a spectacular one. It is situated in the extreme south of the cape peninsula. This beach is also popularly known as Bloubergstrand which is just about 20 minutes away from the city center of Cape Town and is known as the seafood haven.
