Post a hearty breakfast, we collected our swimwear and proceeded to the beach for bringing to life the most fun part of our 4 days Maldives tour – swimming in the sea. After spending a couple of hours laughing and splashing water on one another in the crystal clear sea as well as the hotel pool, we returned to our room to witness eye-warming views of the sunset from our villa for the last time. Cuddling up by the window and simply watching the sky transform into a kaleidoscope of colours with the turquoise blue water beneath it turn auburn was, for us, one of the most romantic things to do in Maldives. It’s as if the enchanting sight is imprinted on our memories forever. We ended our day with a delicious buffet dinner while also watching live music performances. After a pleasant, musical evening, we went out to the glowing beach of Kandooma Island to witness the stunning phenomenon of bio luminescence. The experience of watching white shores being washed over by tiny glowing ‘blue lights’ took our breath away!

I will never forget my trip to Maldives since it was my honeymoon destination and my first foreign trip. Looking back, I still remember the lush greenery, the warm soothing weather, and the sweet company of my wife.

My friends referred Maldives for its scenic beauty, activities, and the overall natural essence of the place, something that I was looking for because my wife and I wanted an immersive holiday experience.

So after the warm hotel welcome, we were shown our beach facing villa that had a romantic feel to it. There were a complimentary fruit basket and sparkling wine waiting for us at the hotel, for commemorating our marriage. The second day began with a grand English breakfast that was enjoyed by both of us. Later, my wife and I set off to explore the vicinity and were delighted to find it soothing and pleasing to our senses. We found a restaurant built on the waters and lunching there was a memorable experience. The food in totality was brilliant, primarily because they served us Indian cuisine too, which for any vegetarian on an island country is a big relief. The puri aloo was authentic and tasty.

The restaurant in our resort also had musical nights and dining in such a festive ambience was an enjoyable experience.

Their Idea of A Perfect Honeymoon In Mauritius Will Give You Major Relationship Goals

Tarun Dudeja talks about his honeymoon trip to Mauritius. He describes the fun and adventure that took place over there. His 7-day package was booked through TravelTriangle and it included his hotel, flights, and sightseeing all for INR 137,000. He shares his experience on the exotic island country with us.

The honeymoon period was an ideal time for me to get to know my partner in a better way. Therefore, it was logical for me to make it a wonderful experience for her. To make that happen, I needed a destination that was away from all the hustle and bustle of the daily life but at the same time offered us the convenience and luxuries that we cannot live without.

So when my friends described Mauritius as the perfect combination of adventure, nature, and serenity, my choice was made.

Tarun and his wife posing in Port Louis Mauritius

Now all that was left was a Mauritius honeymoon package. Luckily my problem was solved through TravelTriangle, an online travel portal that connects you to local travel agents of the destination for personalised experiences. I chose Verma Global Travel Services as their agent Mohit got me the best quotation and itinerary as per my needs.

Day 1 – Mauritius begins

Beach facing view from Tropical Attitude Hotel

We landed in Mauritius from Delhi at around 2:30 PM and on arrival I was informed that my hotel booking has been changed and that we were to stay at another hotel. I immediately contacted my local agent ‘Mohit’ from Verma Global Travel Services and he assured me that he would take care of it. I had to wait an hour before I got a confirmation that I was going stay in the same hotel that I was promised, ‘Tropical Attitude’.

To make up for my lost time, Mohit was kind enough to get me free lunches and drinks for all days, apart from the breakfast and dinner that was already included.

Tropical Attitude Mauritius turned out to be a beautiful property as expected and I was pleased to find that we were given the sea facing room.

Later at the hotel, there was a cocktail party organised for all the guests which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Day 2: South Island Tour – Sightseeing in Mauritius

Retail store for handcrafted mini ship models

The second day after breakfast, we were taken to a ship building factory and it was fascinating to watch the workers craftily working on the various portions of the ship.

Apart from the factory, there was also a retail shop beside it for all those who wanted to buy miniature handmade wooden models of the ships. These models were extremely well crafted and looked quite appealing to the eye.

Shiv Mandir in Mauritius

Next was the diamond industry where we saw how diamonds are processed and polished. This was a duty-free place and we could buy anything without the fear of paying custom charges.

My wife and I both the enjoyed the diamond factory as it gave us a good insight of the industry.

We also visited a beautiful Shiv Mandir that had a huge idol of Lord Shiva. It was a positive experience for us since we felt that our journey was now blessed!

Day 3: Ile Aux Cerfs Tour

Tarun and his wife parasailing in Ile Aux Cerfs

The best day from our trip since watersports was one of our primary things to do in Mauritius. We were taken to an island on a speedboat and there inside the Ile Aux Cerfs office, were asked to choose the water activities that we wanted to do. We chose parasailing and speedboat ride.

Tarun and his wife on a parachute

Parasailing

This was literally the highest point of our trip. We were taken to the middle of the ocean waters and were harnessed to the speedboat through a rope. As soon as the boat took off, we slowly started going up in the air and in no time were on the top. The whole view of the island from there was awesome. It was an exhilarating moment for me and my wife and the experience of floating around in air cannot be described in words. During parasailing, our speedboat driver intentionally slowed down so that our feet could touch the ocean waters for a few seconds. It was a mind blowing experience and I am glad that we overcame our fear and did this.

Although this would not have been possible had the locals not encouraged us to do it in their broken Hindi.

Tarun and his wife on a speedboat in Ile Aux Cerfs

Speedboat ride to the waterfalls

This 15-20-minute ride to the waterfall was amazing. The driver did a lot of stunts on it on our way and it was an amazing feeling to skim through the blue waters at so much speed.

Witnessing the blue ocean and all its beautiful fishes reminded me of the “The Little Mermaid” cartoon that I used to watch when I was a kid. Everything was so beautiful.

Day 4 – Taking the day off

Tarun and his wife in Tropical Attitude Hotel Mauritius

We roamed around and relaxed in the hotel on the fourth day. There were a lot of indoor games available like chess, billiards, snooker, etc. and we indulged ourselves in those and more. Later, we also went to the local market for shopping and overall the whole was a soothing and calm experience.

Day 5: Port Louis North Island Tour – Exploring the capital city

Tarun in Port Louis Mauritius

We reached Port Louis for the north tour after a 2 hour journey from our hotel. This capital city of Mauritius was beautiful and I now understood why so many Bollywood films were shot here including the one that played a big factor for me in choosing this destination – Roy.

Colorful Umbrellas in market of Port Louis

Our sightseeing in Mauritius included a point from where we could see the whole city, race course, Formula 1 track and a general tour of the diplomatic area. The city is divided into left and right side, the left one being a posh area since it houses all the embassies, IT companies and other points of interest while the right side having the residential area, the local markets and Chinatown (Spare part market).

The Brabant street on the left side also had Mcdonalds and it was way cheaper than the one that we have in India.

Blue Safari Submarines In Mauritius: A Guide For Exploring The Local Attraction

Day 6 – Blue Safari – Underwater Sea Walk in Mauritius

Subscooter in Blue Safari Mauritius

The sixth day was reserved for the famous Mauritius underwater sea walk that was organised by a company called Blue Safari. Although we used a sub scooter for doing this, it was an awesome experience nonetheless. But this is not for the fainthearted, as a certain degree of courage is required to allow yourself be submerged in deep waters. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and we will always be glad for doing it, unlike many couples who gave up before experiencing it.

After coming back to the hotel, we had a proper head massage since we felt quite tired after an eventful day. Taking a shower is also recommended since the water is salty and you can easily catch a tan.

10 Best Temples In Mauritius That’ll Help You Uncover Its Secrets In 2022

Day 7 – Saying goodbye

Waterfall in Ile Aux Cerfs

This was the last day and we checked out at around 12 Noon. Our cab was due for pick up at 5 PM and we were apprehensive as to what we would do for the rest of the day. However, it turned out that we were only to leave the room and the rest of the facilities were free to use like before. So after having few drinks and enjoying the free wifi, we left the for the airport.

Tarun and his wife pose in Port Louis Mauritius

My honeymoon trip to Mauritius was a delightful experience. My wife and I got to spend some quality time with each other and doing this in the background of a picturesque island was a dream come true. Everything about Mauritius excited me, the watersports, nature, people, culture, and the serenity. I found it to be a perfect destination for all those looking for a change from the usual life and wanting to focus on relationships and themselves.

A perfect trip for a perfect beginning!

Taruns wife in front of a church in Port Louis

High Points – Tropical Attitude Hotel is an amazing property, our local travel agent Mohit was very helpful, the ship building factory, the Shiv Mandir in South Tour, incredible experience in Ile Aux Cerfs with all its water sport activities, parasailing, speedboat ride, Port Louis and the sightseeing, Underwater sea walking through Blue Safari, cordial and hospitable environment both inside and outside the hotel.

Low Points – Landing in Mauritius and not being able to get a proper hotel confirmation led to an apprehension, shops around South Tour overcharge the tourists for everything, the lunch at food stalls is expensive, swimming costumes at ile Aux Cerfs were expensive.

Tips to future travelers –

    • Purchase food and water from the local market of the place instead of shops near tourist attractions.
    • Always carry swimming costume and sunscreen.
    • Eat from joints like KFC, and Mcdonalds since they are cheap and nice.
    • Limited choice for vegetarians.
    • This is a perfect place for honeymooners since it has an attractive mix of leisure, calm, sightseeing, and shopping.

Inspired By Hangover 2, He Planned a Trip To Thailand, And Boy Was It Good!

Amit Shinde talks about the crazy experience he and his friend Jayant had in Thailand. His package cost him INR 63,200 and included hotels, transfers, sightseeing, and flights. He recalls all the good times he had while visiting the island country.

I will always cherish my trip to Thailand. It is one of those places that everyone has on their bucket list and I am glad that I ticked it off with my friend Jayant.

Thailand was on our minds since a long time and when the opportunity presented itself, all we had to do was jump in and enjoy the show, which we did.

People on the Coral Island Beach

So, after searching numerous websites and portals for a land package, we finally settled on TravelTriangle, since it offered us greater flexibility, better rates and an interesting itinerary in our budget.

15 Best Beaches In Thailand You Need To Visit Right Now

Day 1: Pattaya – Arriving in the city of dreams

Amit and his friend on the streets of Pattaya

The first day in Thailand was mostly spent traveling. We reached Bangkok and were subsequently transferred to Pattaya. After checking in at the hotel, we set out to explore the Walking Street, an area known for incredible nightlife and activities.

Day 2: Pattaya – Exploring islands and more

Amit clicking a selfie on the speed boat to Coral Island

This was a day full of activities. The first half of the day went into the Coral Island tour, which in our collective opinion was better than our imagination. The beautiful warm weather, beaches, and the crowd of the place made it all worthwhile and exciting. The clear blue waters of Thailand enticed me, and in the end we wished we had more time.

A view from the streets of Pattaya

After coming back to the Pattaya city, we had the half day to ourselves and so we decided to make the most of it. Our local travel agent helped us in fulfilling this wish. He arranged for tickets and transfers to the Alcazar, and Russian Show. The Alcazar was mind blowing, it was a world-class cabaret show and had all the interesting elements in it including acting, stage design, costume, and of course, glamour. The Russian adult show was also great and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole exotic experience. We had also planned for the Big Eye Show but had to avoid it, as we were getting late. So far, Pattaya was good to us.

Day 3: Bangkok – The city that never sleeps

Amit posing in Bangkok

We were transferred to Bangkok on the third day. Later, in the city we saw two grand Buddhist temples as part of the city tour and then proceeded on to our hotel.

Buddhist Temple Bangkok

We also stopped at Indra Mall on our way and found cheap yet good quality commodities. The rest of the evening was spent in exploring the streets of Bangkok.

Sukhumvit Shopping: 6 Spots To Go On A Shopping Spree In Bangkok!

Day 4: Bangkok – Witnessing a new world

Birds in Safari Park Bangkok

The fourth day brought in the Safari World with itself. Once again we did this on our own but were assisted by the local travel agent connected through TravelTriangle. The Safari World and its experience of witnessing wildlife in close proximity made me realise the beauty of nature and all its beings.

Dolphin show in Safari World

There were various animal shows in the Safari World for us and each one was better than the other (Dolphin, Chimpanzee, Sealine etc. ). It was entertaining to witness the animals performing so flawlessly.

The buffet that was arranged there was well organized and sumptuous too.

Then there was the Safari Park, an animal park that allowed us to see wildlife without the cages and shackles. It was exciting to roam around in the wild on a jeep and see the animals in their free state.

After returning from the Safari World, we went back to our hotel and after freshening up, we again set off to explore the nightlife of Bangkok.

Nana Plaza in Bangkok

The nightlife experience in Bangkok was more than satisfying and true to the claims- ‘the city never sleeps’. Roaming around in the streets of Bangkok even at 4 AM was as normal as roaming around the same place in the day. We were able to find an auto back to the hotel easily and to our surprise, we weren’t charged anything extra. The city was exactly like we had seen in the hit movie, The Hangover 2.

The next day we checked out of the hotel at 12 Noon and went for a traditional Thai Massage. It was an amazing experience and all of it was done without a single drop of oil. We were picked up for the airport at 4:30 PM and thus the journey ended.

Thailand was an amazing experience for us. Going there with my friend Jayant turned out to be the perfect decision as we both had the best time there. The country turned out to be a complete package because of its beauty, serenity, budget-friendliness, and the overall positive ambiance.

Thailand is definitely more than the 18+ destination that people perceive it to be since there are so many things that families, couples, and friends can do there.

The truth is, it is a country that loves everyone equally and tries to do justice by all and we salute it for that.

Why Sri Lanka Is The Ultimate Destination For A Perfect Family Trip

Roshan Chandy talks about his 5 day trip to Sri Lanka that he took with his family. This trip included his hotel, private cab, and sightseeing all for INR 77,611. He recalls the island nation to be serene, picturesque and perfect for a family vacation.

Travel for me is an experience that offers leisure, peace of mind and unforgettable memories, and my trip to Sri Lanka gave me all of it.

Having heard about Sri Lanka from friends, I was keen to explore the destination and when I found out that my family’s schedule allowed it, I was more than ready to visit the island nation.

So after filtering through various travel websites, I finally chose Travel Triangle, as it offered me the most flexible itinerary and package compared to others.

The arrangements were made and we set off for the exotic island country, also known as the land of Ravana.

Day 1: Colombo – Landing in the capital of Lanka

Roshan with his family in the turtle hatchery

We landed in Colombo at around 10:15 PM and true to his promise, the travel agent and the cab driver were waiting to receive us. We settled down in the cab and drove to our hotel, which to my delight had a splendid view of the train tracks and the beach. Thus, the trip began on a beautiful note and I was already excited for what was to come next.

Day 2: Colombo – Shopping and other things

Roshans wife and daughter posing in front of the artist gallery

Wanting to explore the city together, my family and I took the Colombo city tour in our private cab. We saw the Independence Square and a roadside artist gallery that somehow complimented the whole serene surrounding perfectly.

I bought a number of nice paintings at reasonable prices and the fact that the artists that made them were personally present there added a lot of human value to those pieces of art. To see them set up their gallery and interact with customers about their work in the background of a huge garden seemed oddly satisfying.

Having witnessed Colombo in such close proximity, I was impressed by its infrastructure, development, friendly people, and the respect that they showed to others.

Later that night, we went to a popular beach restaurant that apparently served delicious seafood, and it did!

Day 3: Colombo to Bentota – A tale of two cities

Shopping in Colombo

My family and I wanted to know how the city felt like on a working day, so we again took our cab and headed out to the roads of Colombo and did what most people in cities do – shopping! We went to a supermarket first and then to a lifestyle store where I bought a lot of pretty dresses for my daughter. After returning to our hotel and having our lunch, we all headed out for Bentota, a place known for its scenery and water sports.

One good thing that our driver did was that he took us to the city via the roads within the cities and not the expressway for it gave us a chance to catch glimpses of villages, beaches, the scenery and the local culture.

The hotel in Bentota was again mesmerizing, and also had a private beach to it. My family and I had a great time sitting by the beach and enjoying each other’s company without the distractions of the daily hustle. It felt great!

Our hotel also had a nice heated pool and we surely did justice to it by taking a long refreshing swim in its waters.

The whole experience in totality was refreshing and Sri Lanka was serving us well.

Day 4: Bentota and Galle – Witnessing history in modern times

Roshans parents posing in a garden in Colombo

Next day was planned for the Galle Fort and city. A heritage sight and a wonderful marvel of architecture, this city had a unique charm to it. We saw the Galle Cricket Stadium, the shops, and complexes all within the city walls adding an element of old world charm to it. There were houses and churches too, and it was fascinating to see how everything was running so smoothly.

The next thing planned for us was a lunch on the boat but since it was too sunny and warm, we decided to skip it and proceeded for the next activity in the itinerary, the turtle hatchery. This hatchery turned out to be a delightful experience since they allowed us to touch and feed the turtles. There were many rare and endangered species and it was good knowing about these wonderful creatures that can live up to many years.

Later, we returned to our hotel in Bentota and after a refreshing swim and the much-needed dinner, we went off to sleep.

Day 5: Bentota – Time for some watersport action

Roshan and his family on the sofa boat in Bentota

Day Five was for adventure. After a lazy morning and breakfast, we started for the Watersports Centre in Bentota.

This center known for its watersports activities gave us the best time of our lives. The Jet Ski, speed boat ride, and the sofa boat were amazing experiences.

We returned to our hotel happy and content and as usual, took a swim in the heated pool, had dinner and retired for the night.

Day 6 – Back to the city

Roshan and his family at Bentota Water Sports Center

This was our last day and we set off towards the airport after having our breakfast but this time it was through the expressway. We reached the airport well in time and departed for Bangalore.

I have traveled to many places in and out of India, but Sri Lanka will always remain special. It was a rejuvenating affair for both my family and me as it offered us peace, exploration, and adventure, something which any other place couldn’t offer me. I was delighted to spend some quality time with my family and Sri Lanka turned out to be the perfect catalyst in our family union.

High Points – Colombo City, beaches, hotel, shopping centers, roadside art galleries, Bentota Watersport Center, Turtle Hatchery, Galle Fort and city

Low points – We could have done more activities and sightseeing.

Tips to future travelers – A great place to visit for all those looking for peace, tranquility and adventure at the same time.
