Is Tidal Energy Renewable or Non Renewable?

Though tidal energy can only be used by people living in and around the tidal zones, it is a source of energy that can be relied upon for the entirety of the foreseeable future.

Tidal energy can be described as a type of hydroelectric energy. With tidal energy, the kinetic energy of the tide can be converted into electric energy that can be used in homes. Kinetic energy is energy that is created by movement, in this case, the movement of the waves. Alternatively, the movement of waves can be used without conversion to power mills and water wheels – this is the case with water powered flour mills.
