Honeymoon In Bali: A Fine Blend Of Nature, Love, & Adventure

We took an overnight flight from Mumbai and arrived in Bali at 1 pm. After clearing customs, we met the driver assigned to us, who drove us to the Grand Aston Bali Beach Resort for our check in. Our accommodation was situated right next to Kuta beach with beautiful sea-view from the resort. Along with that, there were a lot of in-house activities like gym, swimming pool, snooker, and table tennis to keep the guests happy.

In the evening, we chose to relax at the resort, enjoy the rainy weather, and have dinner to end a tiring day of travel and transit.

The next morning, we began our sightseeing tour by traveling to Lovina. En route, we stopped in Ubud art market for some shopping. We reached the beautiful Lovina Beach and relaxed over there for a few hours.

Post lunch, we visited the Banjar village hot spring and Git Git waterfall. The constant drizzle on the second day of our honeymoon trip to Bali made us enjoy the waterfall even more. Finally, before heading back to the resort, we stopped by at the Bedugul Temple at 6 pm and witnessed the mesmerizing evening prayers.

It was an incredible day, as we traveled from south to north Bali seeing the landscape change from beaches to misty mountains. A true testament to the diverse landscape in Bali.

After breakfast, we were taken by the driver for a session of river rafting in the Ayung river. We navigated through the fierce rapids and gushing waters to enjoy an incredible thrill ride.

Later on, we traveled to the southernmost point of Bali- Uluwatu temple. Over there, we saw a spiritually charged tribal dance performance, that reminded us of the depth of devotion people carry in their hearts for the almighty. After the performance finished, we proceeded back to our resort for the evening.

Every night, we used to go for dinner to an Indian restaurant called Queens of India. The ‘ kali dal’ dish I had over there, was better than what I am used to having back in Mumbai.

10 Places To Visit In Bali In October That Prove It’s More Than Just A Summer Retreat

We visited the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan today and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The ambience of this lake water temple was surreal and the whole experience was totally worth it. From its refreshing spiritual vibe to the incredible architecture, we were blown away by the splendor of this place. Next up on our anniversary vacation in Bali was a romantic dinner cruise which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a complete package that had everything we wanted. From music to entertainment to dance and breathtaking views – we had a lot of fun on the sunset dinner cruise in Bali.

Day 8: Our last day in Bali

Did This Sweet Couple Have The Most Romantic Honeymoon Trip To Bali? Oh Sure, They Did!

This was our last day in Bali and as much as we didn’t want to leave, we had to. So post one last delicious breakfast at the hotel, we checked out and were subsequently transferred back to our hotel for our flight back to India.

Looking back at our romantic Bali trip, I feel all of it passed in the blink of an eye. It was holiday filled with beautiful memories and even more beautiful places that we shall never forget. A sweet treasure that is forever ours to cherish and for that, I would like to my wife for being the perfect companion.

Experiences we loved on our anniversary vacation in Bali

  • Visiting Ulun Danu Temple.
  • Beach Side Candle Light Dinner.
  • Tanah Lot Temple.
  • Parasailing & Sea Walker.
  • Bounty Cruise experience.
  • Stay at The Private Pool Villa

Experiences we missed out on

  • A visit to Nusa Penida, Gili Islands, and Lombok.
  • River Rafting at Batur River
  • Bali Jungle Safari
  • Scuba Diving at Gili Island

Tips for fellow travelers going to Bali

  • Be sure to book all the water sports in advance. If you are booking the watersports on the spot then you need to bargain a lot.
  • While shopping from local shops or sellers, you need to bargain. Also, explore not only Bali but also Nusa Penida, Gili Islands and Lombok.
  • If you are travelling to Bali, then take some US dollars along with you rather than any other foreign currency.
  • If you are a pure vegetarian, then take some ready to eat food with you as it is a bit difficult to find vegetarian food around Bali.
  • Make sure you include beachside candlelight dinner, and a stay at the private pool villa in your itinerary.

Celebrating Our Anniversary On A 7N/8D Family Trip To Bali With Our Toddler!

Celebrating your marriage anniversary with little wanderlust is always a good idea and that is what Sonalika did. She took a family trip to Bali with her husband and her 2-year old munchkin to celebrate love and togetherness on their fifth marriage anniversary.

Sonalika and her husband like slow and comfortable traveling so that they can savor the moments and make long-lasting memories. For her, traveling is an escape from the mundanes of everyday life and spending some quality time with the family. She likes to go to places where she can meet new people and have exciting adventures.

For their fifth marriage anniversary and their daughter’s first international trip, a tropical destination with diverse experiences seemed a likely choice. Bali, with its intriguing volcanoes, iconic temples, and undulating beauty, perfectly fit the bill. Since they were traveling with their daughter, they preferred lesser travel time and short distances between the attractions.

Here is how the lovely family had a blast on their family trip to Bali:

10 Bali Waterfalls That Offer A Surreal Experience In The Lap Of Nature

We arrived at the Bali Airport in the afternoon where we were picked up by the driver. We checked in the pool-facing room of Grand Ixora Resort. The ambiance of the resort was nice and cozy. We decided to be a little daring and ordered one of the local dishes from the menu. Frankly, it did not go well along our Indian taste buds.

In the evening, we headed out to explore the famous Kuta market and enjoy the nightlife. We had a sumptuous dinner at Queens of India. We were very pleased and amazed to find authentic Indian flavors in the foreign land.

Day 2: Trip to Sacred Monkey Forest and Rice Plantations

A Cruise From Mumbai To Bali Via Goa And Andaman: What More Could One Ask For!

We woke up late in the morning due to our jet lag and missed our schedule for Barong Dance and Village sites in Kintamani. Without wasting any further time, we headed straight to the picturesque coffee and rice plantations. We could smell the aroma of coffee beans lingering in the air and even bought some samples of fresh coffee.

Sacred Monkey, our next stop, was great fun. My daughter enjoyed watching the Balinese long tail monkeys in the park. She had so much fun that she didn’t want to come back. We had a scenic lunch at the top of Mount Batur. It was one of the finest experiences of our trip. The air was nippy and the views all around were simply exhilarating.

Day 3: Uluwatu Temple and Tegenungan Waterfall

How To Spend Quality Time On A Romantic Honeymoon Trip To Bali

We went to see the famous sea temple – Uluwatu and were awestruck by the arresting location of the temple. Walking to Tegenungan Waterfalls was an adventurous experience. The reason we chose this waterfall over others was that it had a shorter walking distance which made it easier to carry our daughter. We enjoyed a delectable lunch with enchanting views of the waterfall. Before we headed back to the hotel, we did some shopping.

Day 4: Tanah Lot Tour

We went to the Tanah Lot Temple in the evening to avoid heavy traffic during the day. I wish we had not missed the spectacular sunset. The location of the temple is so picturesque. We went to the mall to check out some Bali stuff. The horse cart ride back to the hotel was an amazing end to the day.

Day 5: ‘Treat yourself’ Day

On our last day at our resort, I pampered myself with Bali Special Spa and Massage Therapy which was a real stress buster followed by fun and frolic by the poolside. We were then transferred to Arman Villas in Seminyak and boy, did we fall in love with our new resort! We had delicious pizza for lunch and spent the entire day relaxing by the villa pool.

Indulge In These Must-Do Things On A Flawless Bali Honeymoon, Just Like They Did!

After a quick shopping tour in Seminyak Square, we went to the coastal side of the town for our evening dinner cruise. We were ushered with a warm welcome on the Bali Hai Romantic Cruise. We had qualms about how our 2-year old daughter would react to the ambiance of the cruise. But everything turned out beyond fine. Her happiness knew no bounds as she ran amuck on the deck. We were chasing after her the whole time we were on the cruise. One of her most enjoyable moments was when she danced like a diva with the performers. We really enjoyed the heart-filling dinner and the spectacular live dance performances put up by the Balinese dancers.

Day 7: Bali Safari

Bali vs Malaysia: Choose Your Kind Of Honeymoon Destination!

Our impromptu Wildlife Safari Tour was a gift to our daughter on our marriage anniversary. She was so thrilled to see all those wild animals. She absolutely loved the live shows and aquarium and cheered up the whole time. We were really looking forward to visiting the marine park but it was under construction.

Day 8: Last stop at Double Six Beach

Our family trip to Bali came to an end at Double Six Beach. We avoided any water sports activity keeping in mind the safety of our daughter. We just wish we had more time to explore the exotic beaches of Bali.

WOW Moments from the trip

  • The highpoint for us on the trip was how much fun our baby girl had during the vacation. She is the one who made the most of our family trip. There is not even a single day when she doesn’t recall the Monkey Temple and Wildlife Safari.
  • The romantic stay at the luxurious Arman Villas was a brilliant idea to celebrate our fifth anniversary together.
  • Bali Hai Cruise was truly a splendid experience for the whole family. It is one of the few places in Bali where we enjoyed good-tasting Indian Food.

Low points on your trip

  • We missed out on a few attractions and experiences in Bali. Had we planned better, we would have got a plenty of time to explore the beaches and cultural side of Ubud.
  • We experienced heavy traffic in the city of Ubud which consumed most of our time on the trip.
  • The wifi at Grand Ixora Hotel was too slow.

Did you miss out on anything

We could not enjoy water sports activities since were strapped for time.

Overall Experience with TravelTriangle

We had a really great experience with TravelTriangle. We found the booking process and comparison of quotes easy and convenient. The best part about the whole process was the timely bookings and splitting up the payments.

Tips for future travelers

  • Bali Hai Cruise is a must-recommended experience.
  • If you are looking for Indian flavors in Bali, dine at Queens of India. The food is simply divine here.
  • In case you want to self-drive, make sure all your IDs and paperwork are in order.
  • If you want to stay in soothing and beautiful Ubud, choose someplace near mountain ranges.

If you are looking to gift something to your spouse, give them the gift of wanderlust. Plan a romantic vacation to Bali and have a lifetime of memories together on your special day.
