You know how we keep planning those ‘must-take-together’ international trips with our best friends, but fail to actually go on one every time? Well, my best friend and I did more than just tagging each other in those social posts this time. We finally went on our first international trip to Thailand, and it was one hell of a holiday!
There’s no doubt that the best things happen when we least expect them, and with the minimal amount of time in hand. Within a period of 15 days, we talked about taking the trip, closed the call on flying to Pattaya in Thailand, and made our booking for four days.
All of this in such a short notice, only became possible because I knew about TravelTriangle already. I had booked my Munnar- Kochi trip with them in the past, and the wonderful experience assured me that nobody can plan our first friends trip to Thailand better than them. And well, it did turn out to be true.

Day 1: En route Pattaya, and watching the Alcazar Show
Upon reaching the Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok from Bangalore, and after completing all the formalities, we were picked up by our driver who was ready to take us to our destination. With some drinks and snacks in hand, we boarded the cab and left for the gorgeous city.
The spacious interiors of the cab and the friendly driver created a comfort zone good enough for both of us to relax on our way to the hotel. Since our check in time into the Bella Express Hotel was 2:00 PM, we dropped our luggage at 12:00 there and went out for lunch.

On getting back, we rested for a while in our room, and then got ready to watch the popular Alcazar Cabaret Show. It was an absolutely unique experience, something we had only heard about or seen in movies. Post the show, we had dinner and called it a day since we the journey had left us pretty exhausted.
Day 2: Parasailing on Coral Island and exploring the Walking Street
Any friends trip to Thailand would stay incomplete without visiting the beautiful beaches of Pattaya. Our day two was loaded with fun and new adventures, which began as soon as we were picked up by our guide from the hotel.

To kick-start the day, we headed to the Pattaya Beach from where we took a speedboat ride to reach the Coral Island. Though in the middle of the journey, what awaited us was a ship with a one-of-its-kind experience.
Both of us indulged in parasailing, and I must say calling it amazingly pulsating would be an under phrase.

After the thrilling water sport, we resumed our journey towards the Coral Island, where we spent a couple of hours munching, drinking, and capturing moments.
Followed by a buffet lunch in the evening, both of us headed out for a rejuvenating Thai massage, shopping, and exploring the Walking Street. The street looked completely different at night. It had become alive, and was a sight worth experiencing.
Day 3: Visiting Tiger Park, and capturing Pattaya like a pro
The third day of our fun friends trip to Thailand began with visiting the Tiger Park, which was indeed an incredible place. We not only saw tigers, but also clicked pictures with them.

Followed by the Tiger Park, we ticked the Underwater World next off our list, and then the Buddhist Temple, shopping markets, Pattaya Beach, a few pubs in the city, and the Turkish ice cream man on the walking street. His unique style makes visiting him a must-do thing in Thailand irrespective of whom you are with.
Day 4: Bidding adieu to Pattaya, Thailand
The last day of our holiday didn’t have much scheduled. A few hours of shopping and a delicious meal made it a little easy for us to bid farewell to this charming city, and head back to Bangkok for flying back further to our home.
Shopping In Pattaya
Shopping in Pattaya is no less than a delight, especially for Shopaholics. Without burning a hole in your pocket, you can buy anything and everything from anywhere, as the city has five to seven shops set up after every 500 meters.

We went to the Central Festival Pattaya, which is a great shopping mall and also the Asia Gem Gallery, a top-notch jewelry store in the city. Every bit of this experience was worthwhile and an absolute value for money.
It was an experiential holiday, topped up with fun and adventures. I’m so glad that we could finally make it happen. Thanks to our agent from Trip Me Holidays who was friendly, supportive, and made it possible for us to explore the city like a local.
