14 Reasons Why Dubai Will Ruin Indians For Life

We boarded our flight to Dubai from Indore and landed in Dubai around 10 pm. We were received by the TravelTriangle representatives and were transferred to the hotel. As it was late, we had dinner in the hotel itself and called it a night.

Day 2: Roller coasters and skyrocketing buildings

Traveler in Ferrari world

Day two was reserved for Abu Dhabi city tour. We first visited the Ferrari world amusement park, one of the best adventure parks in the world. Our favorite rides were the giant roller coaster ride, which is also the fastest roller coaster ride in the world and the G-force ride. My grandparents also enjoyed the rides a lot, even though they were quite scary.

Tip:

If you are afraid of heights and have vertigo , then the roller coaster ride might turn out to be a scary experience for you. Also, senior citizens should try the rides carefully as it can get too much for them.

Family in Abu Dhabi

We left adventure park by 3:30 pm and proceeded for the Abu Dhabi city tour in our SIC coaches. The tour guide was very engaging and kept giving us information on the places and the important buildings we were crossing by. Abu Dhabi is one of the most advanced metropolises in the world and has so many different kinds of places for sightseeing.

We started with a visit to the Prince’s palace and museum, situated in the city of AI Ain, which was a wonderful experience. We saw the art gallery and the meeting rooms there.

After that, it was time to visit the tall business towers. We saw the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers hotel, Abu Dhabi’s answer to Burj Khalifa. It’s an ideal place to take some pictures of gorgeous city. Post this, we visited the famous dates market, and bought different types of dates. We also bought hand made chocolates and souvenirs.

After shopping, we were transferred to the hotel and we had dinner there and slept off.

Day 3: Of snow parks, gardens and desert safaris

Travelers in snow park

Day three was reserved for the Dubai city tour. As there were lots of things planned for this day, we had an early breakfast and left for our tour immediately. We first visited the snow park in the mall of Emirates. Snow Park is a breathtaking 3,000 square meter, real snow wonderland and it the biggest artificial snow park in the world. We had good fun in the snow, skiing, playing with snowballs and clicking pictures. One can stay there for a couple of hours and chill, literally.

The second half was for miracle garden and the desert safari. The Dubai miracle garden is a beautiful flowers garden located in the heart of Dubai. It is an ideal place for visiting with family and it also houses the butterfly park and the aromatic garden. Lots of movies have been shot here.

In the evening, we went for desert safari. The best part was seeing the setting sun over the great sand dunes. The camp stay was also fantastic, there was a complementary camel ride and we also enjoyed the arabic dancers’ performance in the tents.

We were able to return to our hotel by late night, so we had dinner and slept off early.

Day 4: World below your feet, literally

Travelers in Dubai city

We visited the main places of Dubai this day, starting with Jumeira beach, which is one of the best beaches I have seen. This was followed by a visit to the Dubai museum which offered a fascinating insight into city’s history and culture.

In the second half , it was time to see the world’s tallest building, the grand Burj Khalifa. The view of the Dubai city, from the top of the tower, at the 124th floor, is something I can never forget. We also saw the saw the musical fountain show there.

After that, we came back to the hotel and called it a night.

Hotel review: Winchester Grand Hotel Apartment, Dubai

The rooms are spacious and come with a small kitchenette. The location of the hotel is quite good; It is situated in the middle of residential flats in a predominantly Indian sub-continent area and is around a 15 minute walk from three metro stations. There is also free wifi facility available and the breakfast is quite decent.

Day 5: A peek into the undersea world

Marine park in Dubai

Our fifth day was reserved for a visit to the Atlantis, the palm. Set on the iconic Palm Jumeirah island with views of the Arabian Gulf, this luxurious resort is very beautiful and is one of the best hotels of Dubai. There, we visited the Aquaventure waterpark, which is a one-of-a-kind waterscape. There, we visited the aquarium, where we saw the marine species up close in the glass chambers. It was a surreal experience for us.

Sightseeing in Dubai family trip

Second half was free for us and we made full use of this opportunity by visiting our hotel beach and just relaxing there. We explored the property, and also chilled by the poolside for sometime. All in all, it was a very relaxing day.

Hotel review: Atlantis The Palm, Dubai

This is one of the best hotels of Dubai. The services are excellent including in-house dining as well as the laundry services. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are very clean. The children’s pool is massive. The big aquarium is great to keep the kids entertained. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. All in all, it proved to be a great experience, really recommend it to everyone.

This was our last day in Dubai. We checked out in time and boarded our flight to Mumbai .

Highlights

  • Burj Khalifa, undoubtedly is the best! THe view from the top is not to be missed
  • Atlantis, the Palm is a beautiful and a must-see property in Jumeirah Island

Low points

  • We wanted to spend some more time in Ferrari world as there are lots of amazing rides to see. But we were told to leave from there by 330 pm. We hardly got 4 hours there

Tips for future travelers

  • Carry sunscreen in Jumeira beach and other beaches
  • Water bottles in hotels and restaurants is really expensive(around 200rs per bottle). So it’s suggested that you buy it from the local supermarkets.
