This may seem crazy but people of Austin celebrate the flying of Mexican free-tailed bats from the cave with mussic, dance, and food. They are not crazy doing so. When 1.5 million bats fly across the pink sky at the dusk, you can only imagine how surreal that site must be. Apart from bidding farewell to bats, there is food, drinks, and a variety of ‘bat activities’ for your leisure. Don’t forget to take part in the bat costume contest. People of Austine celebrate art and creativity with food, music, and obviously flea markets at the much popular Fall Peccan Street Festival. The venue as you may have guessed from the name is Pecan Street which comes alive during the fest. This a huge deal in Austin attended by masses in large numbers.
