During a visit, your puppy can access drinking fountains and designated dog washes. There are two separate areas available for either large or small breeds. One great advantage of White Rock Lake Dog Park is that it’s surrounded by jogging and biking trails. These allow you to connect with your furry companion.

2. Bark Park Central

Bark Park Central is a 1.2-acre area designated for off-leash dog playtime. The park’s surrounding areas are just as important as the park itself. They feature bars and restaurants that allow pets inside; nothing beats a session of playtime and then dinner, right?

The park is equipped with water bowls, showers and sprinklers for the hot summer days, pet waste stations, and enough shaded areas for all visitors. Bark Park Central is located in the Arts District of Dallas. This makes the park perfect for art enthusiasts that want to discover local artwork with their pups.

3. NorthBark Dog Park

NorthBark Dog Park is the largest designated dog park in North Texas. Its main attractions are a well-maintained dog pond, showers and sprinklers, and a pavilion for when the temperatures are too high. It has a total area of 22.3 acres and is an off-leash park.

The park is designed for both pups and their owners. It can be the perfect location for a family picnic surrounded by your furry friends. NorthBark Dog Park is equipped with grills, picnic tables, portalets, plenty of trails, and parking spots. There are separate fenced areas for small and large dog breeds, so safety isn’t a problem. 

4. Wagging Tail Dog Park

Wagging Tail Dog Park is a 7-acre off-leash dog park. You might be interested in visiting this park because it features an observation deck above White Rock Creek at 35 feet high. On the other hand, your puppy will rejoice in a small or large fenced play area. If it’s not the type to enjoy company, then a walk on the ¼ mile trail will surely be enough for your furry companion.

The park features multiple sprinklers that turn on and off all day to your pet’s delight. There are drinking fountains, plenty of vegetation, green areas, and shade. The Wagging Tail Dog Park is worth a visit regardless of the season.

5. Meadow Foundation Dog Park

The Meadow Foundation Dog Park has recently reopened and features brand new ground covering. This was a much-needed improvement for this dog park located in East Dallas. The park is a bit small, so only small breeds can really enjoy it. 

The entire park surface is fenced, so don’t worry about having to keep your companion on a leash while there. Some visitors complained that the fence is too high off the ground and small breeds can easily crawl under it. The same applies to the height; larger breeds can jump over the fence effortlessly. The park is equipped with water fountains and clean-up stations.

6. Hound Mound Dog Park

Hound Mound Dog Park is a 5-acre designated dog park that can be found east of Heritage Park. Like any other respectable park for pups, this one has separate areas for small and large breeds of dogs for safe play. Your pet will certainly love the hybrid Bermuda turf and the occasional irrigation that will cool them during hot summer days.

Owners and their pups can enjoy plenty of shaded areas, water fountains, sitting areas, waste stations, trash disposal bins, and impressive landscaping. If you’re coming from a faraway place, remember that the park has a parking area.

7. MUTTS Canine Cantina

The main attraction of this establishment, so to call it, is the canine cantina. It offers you and your pet the chance to enjoy refreshments, regardless of the season. MUTTS features a dog park, including weekly, monthly, and seasonal events. The cantina consists of a public outdoor patio and a beer garden. Access to the actual dog park, which is off-leash, is based on membership.

The off-leash park requires membership as it’s equipped with ready-to-act attendants that will clean up after your pup and offer both of you, when needed, water and refreshments. If you’re not interested in a monthly or annual pass, day passes are available for $7.
